Heidi Weber

I am an emerging self-taught artist working primarily in oils. My practice is grounded in figurative painting, where I seek to capture not only the form of the human figure but also the emotions, atmosphere, and narratives that surround it. Through my work, I strive to create storytelling pieces that invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect with the deeper layers of human experience.

For me, painting is a process of exploration—of mood, memory, and meaning. I am drawn to the ways light, gesture, and expression can transform a simple moment into something universal and resonant. My compositions often emerge from a desire to evoke a sense of intimacy, vulnerability, or quiet strength, with each piece holding fragments of both personal reflection and broader shared stories.

As a self-taught artist, my practice is continually evolving through experimentation and curiosity. I am inspired by the timelessness of oil paint, its richness of colour, and its ability to build texture and depth. I aim to use these qualities to create work that feels alive—where the brushstrokes themselves become part of the story being told.

Ultimately, my goal is to make art that speaks emotionally to the viewer, sparking connection and leaving space for their own interpretations and narratives to unfold.
